Looking for a Pharmacist to join our team in Brampton, Ontario

This is a full-time position on-site for a Pharmacist with one of our valued clients based in Brampton, Ontario. The Pharmacist will work in a modern medical center handling prescription medications, providing drug information to patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Here are some key tasks and duties you will be responsible for:

  • Check prescriptions for accurate dosage
  • Prepare pharmaceutical products as prescribed by measuring and mixing ingredients
  • Dispense pharmaceuticals to customers and provide information on usage and effects
  • Maintain customer medication profiles and drug inventory
  • Ensure proper storage and distribution of drugs
  • Manage pharmaceutical supplies
  • Advise customers on non-prescription medication
  • Renew prescriptions when necessary
  • May adjust medication administration as needed
  • Supervise pharmacy staff when required
  • Create informational materials about drug properties
  • Evaluate drug product labeling and packaging
  • Provide information on pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree and Certification by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and their uses
  • Attention to detail in medication dispensing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with pharmacy software systems
  • Understanding of regulatory standards
  • Capability to collaborate within a healthcare team
