Click here to learn more.About The JobLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN):Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client populationAdministers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and proceduresOperates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocolsThis is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.About this LocationThe Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital and we offer services including surgical, inpatient and emergency. We have 6 acute care beds with a small 24 hour emergency department that includes 4 bays and 1 trauma bay. As part of our cohesive team of healthcare professionals, you will work hand in hand with local physicians and LPN’s, to deliver patient centred careLocated at the gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park, Clearwater is a scenic town surrounded by mountains, forests, and waterfalls.
