Live-in Superintendent (Reena) Join our team as a Live-in Superintendent responsible for ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and maintaining high standards of property care. Location: Vaughan Compensation: $22.48 / hour Department: Operations Key Responsibilities Respond to resident and employer requests, carrying out building maintenance, repair, and custodial services. Cleans common areas, including vacuuming, dusting, stripping and waxing floors, and disinfecting garbage systems. Ensure all equipment and systems are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable code and regulations. Act as first point of contact for exterior landscaping maintenance, including snow removal and salt distribution. Initiate preventative maintenance based on requests entered in OTS, per Facilities Supervisor guidance. Complete systematic property inspections of all building systems and physical structure on a regular basis, documenting findings. Assist with move‑in/move‑out logistics and set‑up as required. Engage with contractors and service providers within pre‑approved guidelines. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required. Coordinate waste disposal operations as required. Comply with all health and safety requirements, promptly reporting any issues to appropriate parties. Serve as first point of contact with third‑party vendors and contractors. Provide backup or relief for the Superintendent position at other locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma. Ability to travel and possess own vehicle. Minimum 3 years of experience in a property service, superintendent, or maintenance capacity. Valid Ontario driver’s license in good standing. Shift work may be required. Experience and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and painting. Certificates in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC Technician, or Facilities Technician are preferred assets. Strong planning, organization, and initiative. Proficiency with a variety of tools. Some experience with an order tracking system. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Working Conditions Frequent interruptions of work. Work may involve outdoor tasks and confined spaces. Must be available by phone 24 hours and on call on required days. Physical Conditions Ability to lift greater than 50 lbs. Perform bending, twisting, repetitive movements, and activities above/below shoulder level. Stand for extended periods and perform push/pull tasks.
