We have an opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Restricted to M1 licensed. We maintain a flight school with a fleet of 34+ single and multi engine aircraft, as well as provide service to privately owned aircraft owners.Position Summary WWFC Maintenance Department supports the Flight School by ensuring aircraft are well maintained and ready to support the Flight Department. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for maintaining aircraft to a high standard of safety while maintain operational efficiencies.Responsibilities:Ensures that all maintenance procedures and inspections are carried out as per the maintenance schedule and/or the manufacturer’s maintenance manualPerforms all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable standards of air worthinessEnsures that all documentation is done according to company procedures and CARsPerforms and/or assists with troubleshooting and rectification of defectsEnsures that all aeronautical products installed on all aircraft have proper certificationEnsures that all unserviceable aeronautical products are tagged with the company unserviceable tags and placed in the quarantine areaAccurately complete all work order such as service documentation, log books and shop logs in a timely mannerPerforms various duties including engine runs and aircraft towing, as trained and authorized to do soHelps with maintaining a clean and safe workplace including some general shop maintenance/clean upDemonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statement, policies and current standard business practices.Performs other related duties as requiredRequirements:AME Restricted to M1 license2+ years of experienceExperience with fixed wing aircraft, preferably small piston engine aircraftExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skillsMechanically inclined, ability to work with your handsStrong time management, organizational and communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of workMust be computer literateAbility to work effectively as part of a team, as well as work independently Must be available Sunday to Thursday, with potential afternoon shifts, as WWFC operates from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.Compensation: Wages range from $32.00 (new AME) to $49.00 and are commensurate with experience.What we offer:A group that loves to fix problems and come up with creative solutionsBenefits include dental care, pharmaceutical, extended health care, LTD and insurance (travel and life)Personal and Medical leave daysFree on-site parkingCompany events/Spirit DaysTraining Opportunities for developmentCompany discounts on merchandise and aircraft rentals for recreational flyingCompany OverviewWaterloo Wellington Flight Centre (WWFC) is a dynamic flight training facility with more than 90 years of history.
