Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yrWe're looking for a passionate and creative founding engineer/architect to join our team as an early member You will work closely with the co-founders, define the product roadmap together, and have a lot of room for flexibility. You are expected to gradually take responsibilities of the backend infrastructure at Revery AI. You should take initiative to improve the system both at design and implementation level. As Revery grows, you may also help with recruiting and managing our engineering team.What You'll Be Working OnUnderstanding and improving our entire backend stack functionalities, multiple backends and services, data processing pipeline, database architecture, cloud infrastructure, etc.Working directly with our founders to define the engineering roadmap and take initiative to drive things forward.Interface with B2B clients and provide technical support for our product.When time comes, help us scale the engineering team and lead it.Experience We'd Love To SeeYou have 5-8+ years of experience with software engineering.You have a solid software engineering background (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related course of study)You have experience setting up advance cloud infrastructure with multiple components and the ability to scale.You have experience designing and shipping at least full-stack products from scratch - whether it was in your day job or projects outside of workYou understand the core engineering principles and are also able to adapt them to a face pace working environment.You enjoy designing and building complex software systems with multiple components and code bases.You enjoy taking responsibilities and ownership of tasks.Technical Experience We’d Love To SeeExtensive experience with setting up large projects on AWS (EC2, Load Balancer, VPC, Security Group, Auto Scaling Group, Lamda, S3, CloudFront Distribution, AWS-CLI tools, etc..)Experience with Scalable API Backend using Python (Flask)Experience with building data engineering pipeline, multi-threaded data processing, deploying deep learning models (Pytorch) and scripting (Python & bash)Experience with NoSQL database (MongoDB) and SQL database, design schemas to handle queries on tables with millions of data entries, database cluster setup and security configuration, etc..Experience with web frontend (React)Experience with modern software engineering practices: agile development cycle, coding style, engineering documentations, unit & integration testing, code review, git version control, etc..Bonus Points/Nice to haveExperience with engineering hiring & management of engineersInterfacing and collaborating with B2B clients experienceBuilding deep learning models using PytorchFlexible working hoursFlexible with relocationPassionate about fashionPassionate about the future of AI-powered consumer productsSeniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesSoftware DevelopmentReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Revery AI (YC S21) by 2xJunior Software Engineer - Full Stack Systems (AI + Industrial Ops)Full-Stack Software Engineer [Contract] [Remote possible]Intermediate Fullstack Developer (Ruby & React)- EHRWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
