High Prairie Forest Products is recruiting for a Heavy Duty Mechanic/HET.This position offers a challenging, diverse, and exciting opportunity to join our team. Job duties will fall within our Mobile Shop department.You'll DoPerform various tasks related to the safe and efficient application of technical skills and knowledge of a Heavy Duty Mechanic/HET.Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including Log Loaders, Wheel Loaders, Forklifts, Log Trucks, Walking Floor, and Dump Trucks.Maintain other mobile equipment used in the manufacture of lumber.Continually maintain the quality and standards of service to safety and production.You HaveA valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson mechanic or HET certificationApprentices are encouraged to applyAbility to read manuals and schematicsCapable of using diagnostic systems, Cat, KenworthProven working knowledge of Hydraulics and electrical systemsCommitment to working safely and creating a safe workplaceAbility to work independently with little supervisionFlexible schedule for day, evening and weekend shiftsExperience working in a fleet shopCummins and Cat engine experienceCompensation PackageThe hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.Your Workplace Location:The Town of High Prairie and the Municipal District of Big Lakes are proud to join together to provide the residents of High Prairie and surrounding communities with a spectacular indoor aquatic facility and The Gordon Buchanan Recreation Center to meet the growing demand for recreation and leisure opportunities in our region.High Prairie is within 20 minutes of first-class sandy beaches.
