Manager of Community Programs - Full-Time Permanent Timmins and Area Womenin Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community-basedfeminist organization, which provides services on intimate partner abuse andsexual violence to women and their children in the Timmins area. TAWCworks within an integrated feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppression framework.The agency administers a sexual assaultcentre, an emergency shelter as well as second stage housing to abused womenand their children. We are looking for adynamic and highly motivated woman to join our team in the capacity of Full-Time Manager of Community Programs . The Manager of Community Programs is responsible to the ExecutiveDirector for the overall supervision and coordination of community-basedprograms and services — including both administrative coordination and clinicalsupervision of front-line staff working in areas such as counselling, outreach,family court, and child witness programs . The idealcandidates will demonstrate the following: Qualifications: Post-secondarydegree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Women’sStudies, or related discipline) and/or equivalent experienceRegistration oreligibility for registration with a professional regulatory body (e.g.,OCSWSSW, CRPO, CPO) strongly preferredMinimum of 3–5years of experience in counselling, trauma-informed care, or crisisintervention, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacityDemonstratedexperience providing clinical supervision or mentorship to staff supportingsurvivors of gender-based violenceKnowledgeof,familiarity with and experience working in the area of violence against womenand children, preferably in a leadership capacitySolid understandingof the social service sector and ability to work/advocate within this systemUnderstandingofand commitment to working within an intersectional feminist, anti-racism,anti-oppression framework understanding the social, economic and politicalcontext of woman abuseAbility torepresent and promote program areas in a manner consistent with thephilosophies of TAWCStrong analyticalprogram evaluation, problem solving skills and conflict resolution skillsStronginterpersonal, leadership, coordinating, training and mentoring skillsExceptionalcommunication skills, both written and oralDemonstratedexperience in crisis management, decision making and interventionAbility to promoteteamwork and strength in a staff teamExcellentorganizational, time management skillsKnowledgeofadministrative skills including internet and computer proficiency (i.e. Word,Excel, PowerPoint)Must be flexible interms of working hoursMust undergo acriminal records check Main Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for all community-baseddirect service programs, including counselling, outreach, family court, childwitness and the volunteer programProvide clinical supervision to counselling and crisissupport staff to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, and consistent servicedeliveryOffer clinical guidance and consultation on complex clientcases, ethical considerations, and best practices in feminist counsellingFacilitate regular individual and group clinicalsupervision sessions to promote reflective practice, professional growth, andclient-centered careDevelop, implement, evaluate and update program policies,procedure and protocolsMaintain health, fire, medical and emergency procedures toensure day-to-day safety of staff, volunteers, clients and visitorsTrain, supervise and provide support to community programstaffAssess ongoing staff training needs and provide necessaryinternal and external trainingEnsure that staff are supported appropriately through theuse of debriefing, supervisions, on-call support, etc…Promote respectful communication and teamwork among thecommunity program staffAssess and evaluate community program staff on an ongoingbasisActively participate on committees, both internal andexternal to the agencyComplete all necessary reports regularly includingcompiling statistical information quarterly TAWC has a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy that requires individuals to take part in COVID-19 vaccination programs recommended by Public Health, unless they are approved for a medical or human rights accommodation from TAWC.
