This full-time contract position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Poplar location in Timmins. Reporting to the Manager of Child Care & Community Programs, the MobYle Program Coordinator is responsible for the development and daily operation of the 2025 summer MobYle program, providing leadership to YMCA staff, ensuring adherence to the YMCA mission and Core Values while following all Timmins Family YMCA policies and procedures.START DATE: May 5, 2025LOCATION: Timmins, ONRATE OF PAY: $18.00 per hourMajor ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement a quality programEnsure that each child’s needs are met within their developmental stageDirect, support, and assist program staff in delivering excellent member service following Timmins Family YMCA standards, principles, policies, and proceduresRespond to concerns in a positive and timely mannerPlan, deliver, and evaluate programs with the Manager of Child Care & Community ProgramsProvide the Executive Director or Manager of Child Care & Community Programs with reports as requestedMaintain a neat, clean, safe, and well-organized work area at all timesImplement all policies and procedures outlined by the Timmins Family YMCACarry out other duties as assignedQualificationsRecreation & Leisure Services Diploma or Human Services Diploma (or working towards)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to be a team leader in all aspectsAbility to work independentlyPhysically activeKnowledge of active games and sportsStrong knowledge of the communityCurrent Standard First Aid / CPR CertificateValid Driver’s licenseClear driving recordCurrent and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector CheckWhat We OfferFree Personal Membership and 10% off Family MembershipEmployee and Family Assistance Program that includes short-term mental health supports such as counselling and online courses, and lifestyle coaching which includes legal and financial counsellingTeam bonding and employee recognition eventsOpportunity to explore a wide range of jobs and functionsFlexible hours and scheduling, and hybrid work options, depending on roleIf you would like to work in a family-friendly environment, please apply by website only, with a cover letter and resume by February 12, 2025 to the attention of the Personnel Committee.Please ensure that your cover letter and resume both specify the job title of the position that you are applying for.All applicants are thanked for their interest in this position.
