As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will deploy partners, delegate tasks, and deliver legendary customer service to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and a clean, comfortable store environment. Summary Of Key Responsibilities Act with integrity, honesty and promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks. Maintain calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep store operations to standard and set a positive example for the shift team. Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicate information to manager so the team can respond and create the Third Place environment during each shift. Assist with new partner training by reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching. Provide feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift. Recognize partner morale and performance changes and communicate them to store manager. Provide clear, specific, timely, respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence. Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by putting the customer first and connecting with them. Discover and respond to customer needs. Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts. Organize opening and closing duties as assigned. Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security, to ensure partner safety. Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash handling practices are followed by shift team. Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure delivery of legendary customer service. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and collaborating with store manager to find new, creative recognition methods. Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift. Summary Of Experience Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to direct the work of others. Ability to learn quickly. Effective oral communication skills. Knowledge of the retail environment.
