OverviewOur client, a multidisciplinary design and engineering firm with a strong presence in Western Canada, is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based out of their Vancouver office. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a base salary commensurate with experience (CA$85,000.00/yr - CA$125,000.00/yr), along with a competitive vacation and benefits package. This position will play a key role in structural design and calculations, preparing drawings and construction services.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design for a variety of municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including existing buildings and structuresComplete structural calculations and prepare and edit structural specificationsReview engineering design for compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications; provide technical support to designers and draftersPrepare reports and other technical documentation as required by the clientCommunicate with clients, vendors, and contractorsSupport senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis and designCoordinate with technical staff in preparation of contract drawings and documents and other work tasksCoordinate structural designs and documents with other disciplines (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Landscaping, etc.)Provide structural engineering support during construction, attend site meetings, and carry out field reviewsOther duties as assignedQualificationsP.Eng or registered as an EITDegree in Structural EngineeringMinimum 3-5 years of related work experienceGood verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsSelf-starter and team playerA valid driver's licensePlease email your resume to Chelsey Reimer at creimer@recruitmentbydesign.com for consideration; we thank all applicants however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.SenioritiesMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
