We deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient solutions across industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects while advancing Indigenous participation, partnerships, and long-term economic development.Position SummaryThe General Manager – Concrete is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of Forward Concept Construction’s Concrete division. This position will drive business growth, client development, Indigenous partnerships, and project excellence across multiple concurrent projects.Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the General Manager will work closely with executive leadership and provide weekly reporting to the CEO and CFO on project performance, analytics, earned vs. burned values, and cashflow projections.This role requires a hands-on leader with strong industry relationships, deep project controls expertise, and the ability to execute work safely, profitably, and at scale.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client RelationsDrive growth of the Concrete division through existing relationships and new client developmentLeverage industry contacts to secure new work in oil & gas, industrial, and infrastructure sectorsDevelop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term partnershipsSupport proposal development, bid strategy, and pricing in collaboration with the CCODevelop and strengthen Indigenous partnerships, joint ventures, and subcontracting relationshipsSupport Forward Concept’s commitment to Indigenous participation, employment, and capacity buildingRepresent the company with Indigenous organizations, communities, and industry stakeholdersOversee and support concrete estimating, budgeting, and bid reviewsEnsure accurate labor, material, equipment, and indirect cost estimatesAssess project risk, constructability, and execution strategies prior to awardProject Controls & PlanningLead full workface planning, scheduling, and resource loading across multiple projectsImplement and maintain strong project controls, cost tracking, and forecasting processesEvaluate earned value vs. burned value, productivity metrics, and schedule performanceIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities early and implement corrective actionsProject ExecutionProvide leadership and oversight to Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teamsEnsure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standardsSupport change management processes including scope changes, claims, and change ordersEnsure compliance with client requirements, contracts, and regulatory standardsMaintain full P&L responsibility for the Concrete divisionPrepare and deliver weekly executive reports to the CEO and CFO, including:Project analytics and performance dashboardsCashflow projections across multiple projectsEarned vs. burned value analysisRisk and opportunity assessmentsWork closely with Finance to manage invoicing, collections, and working capitalLeadership & Team DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing project and operations teamsFoster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvementSupport workforce planning, succession development, and performance managementQualifications & Experience10+ years of progressive leadership experience in concrete construction, preferably within oil & gas or industrial servicesProven experience driving business growth and managing client relationshipsStrong background in estimating, project controls, scheduling, and cost managementDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and large budgets simultaneouslyExperience evaluating earned value, productivity, and financial performanceKnowledge of Indigenous partnerships, joint ventures, or Indigenous procurement programs is a strong assetExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsTechnical SkillsEstimating and cost control systemsWorkface planning and construction schedulingEarned Value Management (EVM)Change management and claims supportFinancial forecasting and cashflow analysisStrong proficiency with project management and reporting toolsWhy Join Forward Concept Construction Ltd.We are a Métis Indigenous Woman-owned and operated company making a meaningful impactSenior leadership role with direct influence on company growth and strategyOpportunity to build and scale a high-performing Concrete divisionCollaborative executive team and entrepreneurial environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
