We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting & Business Systems Clerk to support our accounting operations, POS systems, and administrative workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts payable / receivable – entering invoices and payments, verifying compliance (HST, correct amounts, all necessary information)Ensure routine payments, credits and transactions are processed on time and based on approvalManaging petty cashVerify and reconcile accounts (credit cards, chequing, savings)Visit the bank to deposit revenue; fill out the bank deposit slip for Scotia BankFile documents both hard copy and electronically on the company’s work driveCommunicate with vendors about invoices or work ordersCommunicate with customers about overdue accounts when askedAssist with HST remittanceAssist with various financial reportsAnalysis TasksAnalyze seasonal data for Cape Smokey HoldingCollect and store dataVisualize dataIdentify trends and analyze causes to inform adjustmentsMaintenance of Operations SoftwareHelp manage operational systems – SnowCloud, SquareTroubleshoot issues with revenue streamsSet up new products and work with system reportingQualificationsBasic accounting knowledge (college‑level accounting courses are required)Experience with QuickBooks preferredStrong computer skills; comfortable with spreadsheets, POS systems, and cloud storageExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time‑management abilitiesProactive, problem‑solving mindset with willingness to learnWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationDiscounted accommodation for eligible employeesSupport with Permanent Residency (PR) card applicationsFree season passes for Cape Smokey and Ski MartockStaff discounts on select products and servicesOpportunities for professional growthSupportive team environmentTraining on internal systems and processesHow To ApplySubmit your resume and a brief cover letter to linda.berchinova@capesmokeyholding.com with the subject line: “Accounting & Business Systems Clerk – Application”.
