Since 2011, we’ve collaborated with thousands of community leaders, non-profit park organizations, and park professionals to realize the incredible potential of our urban green spaces. https://parkpeople.ca/ Partnerships and Project Specialist, Toronto In this permanent, full-time role (35 hours/week), you will help build and strengthen Park People’s municipal and stakeholder partnerships while delivering impactful, community-centred programming across Toronto. Reporting to the Manager, Research and Partnerships, and working closely with partners, funders, city staff and others, you will contribute to Toronto-based programming and partnerships, represent Park People in public and sector spaces, and help foster a collaborative, accountable, and learning-oriented team culture. As Partnerships And Project Specialist Your Role Will Include Delivering on program outcomes - including overseeing project budgets, project delivery, evaluation and reporting - related to partnership agreements and Park People priorities, with a focus on programming in Toronto. Building program partnership opportunities and strengthen intersections between urban parks and social connection, biodiversity, and community-building Ensuring programs are relevant and responsive to community-identified needs Participation in fund development activities specific to the Toronto program as required Representing Park People at conferences and events, and in meetings with elected officials, partners and community stakeholders Contributing to a healthy team culture of collaboration, accountability, support, and ongoing learning The skills and experience you bring to the role include Experience designing and managing multi-sectoral partnerships and programs Project management of inclusive community-based activities or programs (techniques, methods, tools, and critical planning processes; ability to delegate and collaborate internally and externally) Ability to build new and strengthen existing relationships Strong communication skills including written, presentation and public speaking skills Strong understanding of public policy and park development Understanding of and commitment to anti-racist community-building, the urban parks movement and place making Understanding how larger goals connect to the outcomes and deliverables of projects and can highlight those appropriately when stewarding stakeholders Critical judgment in navigating uncertainty and complexity Innovative problem-solving Demonstrates Initiative Location This position is based in Toronto and is hybrid remote and in-person/on-site in parks and other community settings. Some evening or weekend work will be required.
