Reporting to the Claims Manager, this role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims arising under the policy. What You’ll Do Confirm coverage is in place and applies to reported claims. Obtain recorded statements. Verify entitlement to coverage, determine liability, and explain coverage and claims process to insureds and claimants. Calculate entitlements and issue payments on a timely basis. Negotiate total loss settlements, dispose of salvage, and document all activity. Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and other industry personnel. Arrange repairs and rentals. Perform various other duties as required. What You’ll Bring Ability to negotiate and critically analyze data and make decisive decisions. Exceptional problem‑solving skills and an eagerness to take on challenges. Highly developed organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Post‑secondary diploma or degree and/or work toward a CIP/FCIP designation is an asset. Guidewire experience is an asset. A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing auto claims is ideal.
