Accounting Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to join our growing public practice team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a variety of clients, values accuracy and accountability, and thrives in a collaborative professional environment. What You’ll Do Prepare financial statements and corporate tax returns in accordance with firm standards for clients across multiple industries, including non‑profit organizations Prepare personal income tax returns, as well as trust, estate, and information returns (e.g., T4 and T5 slips) Participate in audit engagements as a team member Communicate professionally with clients, government agencies, partners, and internal team members Keep partners and team members informed on progress, deadlines, and key issues Support and mentor junior staff through training and ongoing guidance What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience in public practice Hands‑on experience with Caseware Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Bookkeeping experience (strongly preferred) Experience with Taxprep, iFirm, and Microsoft Office is an asset Important Note This role is not a CPA‑designated position.
