By integrating powerful data processing capabilities with an intuitive user interface, we help manufacturers optimize their quality management processes.This position is intended to be on-site working with local and remote counterparts. However for the right candidate we will consider remote or hybrid work.What you’ll doAs the early hire at GroundControl, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product and engineering culture for the future of the company. You will work directly with the founding team across engineering, product, and customer success. You will:Own the software solutions that are deployed to customersContribute to our Next.js Application and Python/Golang serverless functions to improve reliability and progress the product roadmapTriage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next-stepsInterface directly with end-users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraintsWho You AreCORE REQUIREMENTSStrong software engineering background (5+ years) from industryAt least 5 years working with Javascript/Typescript, React in production systemsExperience building scalable and responsive web-based user interfacesAbility to empathize with end-users, to turn needs into features, and to balance user experience with engineering constraints to deliver full solutionsCandidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and meet all other requirements under Controlled Goods Program (CGP)DESIRED REQUIREMENTSExperience working with Python and/or GolangExperience working with LLMsExperience working with AWS, in particular GovCloudSignificant experience with writing test suites for React applications (Jest, Playwright)Deep relational database knowledge (Postgres specifically)Experience working on enterprise software and the features required by that customer segmentWhat We ValueExtreme OwnershipYou will talk directly with customers from needs, to design, to production code.
