As a Senior Accountant, you will apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies when working with public and private clients. Our Vancouver office is seeking Senior Accountants for our Financial Institutions and Real Estate (FIRES) industry group.What You Will DoConduct external audits and lead teams in this regard.Assist with developing the audit plan and execute the audit of financial statements and notes thereto.Identify, analyze and conclude on accounting issues.Lead engagement teams in the field and coach and mentor junior staff members.Communicate continuously with Managers and Partners updating the progress and status of the audit.Develop and maintain relationships with Management of the client.Provide service that represents a high-value mark for our firm, helping companies assess their risk as they work to ensure transparency across their operations.Occasionally work beyond normal hours to fulfill accountabilities when business needs require it, with a flexible approach to balance personal matters.As an Audit professional, you will provide a service that represents a high-value mark for our firm, helping companies assess their risk as they work to ensure transparency across their operations.What You Bring To The RoleUndergraduate degreeSuccessful completion of the CFE or working towards a CPA designation3 - 5 years working in a public accounting firm using IFRS, with publicly listed and/or private clientsExperience with financial institution or real estate clients is desirable but not requiredExcellent client service skills with an ability to understand the client’s business and maintain strong client relationshipsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and strong teamworkMeticulous attention to detail, organization and planning skillsKPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $59,500 to $94,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of base salary within this range is based on location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
