Join to apply for the Postdoc Research Associate role at Meharry Medical College.The primary purposes of this 2-year, post-doctoral, Research Associate position are to: 1) train the Research Associate in healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research as part of ongoing work in the Meharry/Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core; and 2) prepare the Research Associate for an academic career that includes healthy equity-focused, community-engaged research.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement an independent, health equity-focused, community-engagement research project.Contribute to health-equity focused, community-engaged research projects of faculty mentors and faculty affiliated with the Meharry/Vanderbilt Community Engaged Research Core.Submit first-authored research manuscripts based on independent research project and those conducted in collaboration with faculty members.Present research at local and national conferences.Participate in community-engaged research training and other professional development opportunities.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required SkillsKnowledge of computing software and toolsStrong verbal and written communications skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and flexibleAble to work independently when requiredRequired Education and ExperienceCompleted doctoral degree in a public health, community health, or related scientific field is required.Demonstrated interest/experience in health disparities and/or equity-focused, community-engaged research.Other RequirementsCover LetterCurriculum Vitae1-page statement of research interests and skillsTwo examples of written workList of three people that can provide professional referencesEmployment detailsEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Research, Analyst, and Information TechnologyIndustries: Higher Education #J-18808-Ljbffr
