OverviewFYidoctors is seeking an Optometric Assistant for our Mobile Eye Care Clinic. This is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have retail optical experience, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to travel and grow in a fast-paced, innovative setting. This is the first of multiple mobile clinics, with a focus on adapting operational standards for this new care model.The weekly schedule includes providing eye care services within the mobile clinic, cleaning and restocking the unit, and supporting nearby clinics as needed based on the travel schedule.What You'll Be DoingFostering collaboration and teamwork among practice team membersBuilding trust and commitment with your work groupDelivering legendary customer service along with high-quality eyewearDeveloping strong relationships with Mobile Clinic partnersCoordinating bus arrival, parking, setup & take down in collaboration with the practice teamWeekly sanitization and restocking of itemsInventory managementManaging front desk operations including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling email inquiries, and maintaining accurate records; supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office coordinationWhat Do You Bring?Minimum two years of experience in a customer service focused retail environmentValid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driving abstractMust complete Air Brakes CertificationPrior experience driving a 40 ft vehicle is an assetSuccessfully complete background and vulnerable sector checkWilling and able to travel within the Province of Alberta based on clinic scheduleExcellent organization and time management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities via critical thought and problem solvingGeneral knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)How You'll BenefitCompetitive wagesA comprehensive benefits package that includes optical coverageRapid and continued growth, with a challenging and rewarding environmentA workplace culture that fosters collaborationOngoing training and development opportunitiesWhy You Should Join UsFYidoctors, a division of FYihealth group, is Canada’s largest and most technologically advanced eyecare provider.
