We are looking for a Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials team at Pinchin in Canada, located in Kingston, ON. Responsibilities Conduct site investigations – asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead, etc. Collect and interpret building material samples. Perform field work, including site visits, and supervise remediation activities. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors. Interpret and analyze sample results against legislative requirements and industry‑accepted guidelines. Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations. Inspect abatement contractors to ensure work has been properly completed. Collect and analyze PCM asbestos air samples. Manage project timelines efficiently. Liaise with clients and subcontractors to meet health, safety, and hygiene needs. Develop and maintain positive client relationships. Maintain and enhance quality control within the group. Qualifications College diploma in Environmental, Construction, or Architectural Technology, or a Bachelor/Applied Science in Engineering or equivalent. Familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Self‑directed and mature. Excellent organizational skills. High attention to detail. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a personal vehicle. Availability to travel to client sites (short‑term travel). Availability to work outside core business hours and on occasional weekends.
