Data Entry Clerk

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a data entry clerk. The primary responsibility of this role is to input and maintain data accurately and efficiently into our company's database system.

Responsibilities:

  • Input data from various sources into computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents and make necessary corrections.
  • Update existing data as needed.
  • Compile and sort information to prepare source data for computer entry.
  • Perform regular data backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all data by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • in generating reports and preparing data for analysis as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and time spent on tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role.
  • Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of data entry best practices and confidentiality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data processing software (e.g., SAP).
  • - Previous experience in a related industry (e.g., healthcare, finance).
