Join to apply for the Manager, Technology Strategy & Innovation (Capital Markets) role at OMERS Role Summary Reporting to the Director, Customer Success and Innovation, as the Manager of Technology Strategy and Innovation, your primary accountability is to support the relationship between Data & Technology ("D&T") and Capital Markets. You will foster relationships, support the technology business partner function, and align technology with business objectives. You will leverage your deep knowledge of the financial and technology landscape to provide advisory support. Using SQL and Python, you will prototype solutions, analyze data, and champion the adoption of AI tools to drive alpha ҡыҙ зі and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnering & Front Office Liaison Facilitate steering committees and executive-level meetings to align on roadmaps, manage expectations, and report program health.योगMyanmar Anticipate technology implications of investment strategies and propose architectural solutions. Bridge business agility and IT governance, ensuring rapid delivery while maintaining stability and compliance. Technical Execution & Prototyping Utilize SQL and Python to query data, validate business logic, and build rapid prototypes género POCs. Analyze complex datasets to support investment decisions and validate data integrity recebido. Partner with developers to ensure builds match requirements from the desk. Innovation & AI Strategy Subject‑matter expert on AI/ML models; explain models, limitations, and applications. Stay current on FinTech trends and emerging Capital Markets technologies. Leadership & People Management Foster a culture of technical excellence and deep domain knowledge. Resolve nebulous business challenges using structure, logic, and data‑driven frameworks. Drive accountability and continuous improvement, ensuring tangible value to the investment floor. Qualifications Domain & Technical Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, M.S. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI) or CFA is a strong asset. 5‑7+ years of experience in Capital Markets technology (buy‑side or sell‑side). Deep understanding of financial products (equities, fixed income, derivatives, private markets) and the full investment lifecycle. Strong proficiency in SQL and Pythonателями; AI/ML fluency and experience integrating data science into business workflows. Soft Skills & Competencies Exceptional verbal and written communication; ability to present complex concepts to senior leadership. Stakeholder management experience with front office in high‑pressure environment, managing priorities and pushing back when needed. Strategic thinking; holistic view to identify scalable technology investments across organization. We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford. Our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come in to the office 4 days per week.This posting is for an existing vacancy. The expected salary range for this position is $107,000 – $157,000 per year. You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award and participate in our group benefits and retirement plans.
