As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth.We are seeking a HSE Student for our project sites located near Nisku, AB, within our Melloy Industrial Services Inc. district, that is available for 4 month or 8 months starting in May 2026.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update HSE records, including training logs, incident reports, audits, and compliance documents.Manage document control systems for HSE procedures, policies, and guidelines.Track attendance and maintain training records.Prepare HSE reports, presentations, and performance metrics for management review.Track health and safety statistics and trends.Provide general administrative support for HSE initiatives, including data entry and filing. What you will bring to the role:QualificationsMust be currently enrolled in a post‑secondary degree, diploma, or certificate program. Preference will be given to those in an Occupational Health and Safety program.Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).Organizational and multitasking skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong willingness to learn.Working ConditionsSuccessful applicants must be able to provide their own CSA approved steel toed boots and be willing to take and pass a Pre‑Access Alcohol & Drug Test.Shift rotation and overtime may be applicable.Our project site is not accessible by public transportation so the successful applicant for that location will need access to a vehicle.Next StepPlease note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.PCL is an innovative, employee‑owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
