Plenty ofopportunitiesto mentor team members About the Opportunity Manage day to day accounting and provide oversight to Accounting team Prepare and manage month end close process Planning,directingand coordinating all accounting functions Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements and management reports Work closely with external auditors Assistin preparation of budget and financialforecasts;review spending and budgets monthly with CFO and Accounting team Manage andcomply withgovernment reporting requirements including corporate tax Oversee risk management and compliance Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial policies and procedures,in accordance withgood practices of internal control andgenerally acceptedaccounting principles Ensuring compliance with provincial and federal laws and process Government and Provincial Sales Tax payments. Manage payroll processes and functions and ensure payroll compliance Define, update, and implement finance and accountingobjectivesthat are aligned with company strategy Identifyimportant company financial trends and recommendsolutions tomanagement team Lead day-to-day full-cycle accounting and finance functions (hands on) Prepare andanalyzetimelymonthly financial statementsin accordance withaccounting standards Own banking activities, treasury management, covenant reporting, weekly uploads to bank Create,improveandmaintaininternal controls foraccuratefinancial reporting and for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements About You CPA Designationrequired 7+ yearshands on,progressive experience in Financial Operations (full cycle accounting, including financial reporting andanalysis) 3+ years at leadership level Company Size : Small tomid size(hands on start-up / high growthenvironmentpreferred) Industry : Tangible goods related Previousaudit experience (liaising with auditors or worked in Public Accounting) Salary Range? $130,000 - $145,000 / year?
