Position Description A full-time Vice Principal is required by Christian Life School (Peace River North) for the 2024-2025 school term. The ideal candidate should be open to teaching part-time to full-time and have an interest in transitioning into the role of Principal. Teaching responsibilities, whether part-time or full-time, will align with the candidate's specialty whenever possible. Christian Life School (CLS) is an accredited independent school with a diverse student body of approximately 150 students from Kindergarten through Junior High. Our staff focus on motivating and supporting students to reach their full potential, encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones to achieve new milestones and academic success. Qualifications & Experience Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility). We are willing to assist the right candidate with this process if their certificate is from another province. Agreement with our doctrinal statement, purpose, and philosophies related to our Christian faith-based school and policies. Willingness to teach part-time to full-time, with administrative responsibilities. Flexibility to adapt to other course assignments as dictated by course demands (minimum requirement of a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level as recognized by the BC Ministry of Education). Experience in adapting and modifying curriculum to meet students' needs. Strong classroom management skills that maintain an effective learning environment while respecting student dignity. Willingness to implement and work towards school initiatives and goals within the classroom. Ability to collaborate with staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with academic, social, or emotional challenges. Willingness to participate in a collaborative model with staff on the school improvement plan and professional development. Interested Applicants Provide three (3) references.
