Program Manager, Global Onboarding [17 Month Contract] Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely. We are currently seeking a Program Manager, Global Onboarding to join our Learning & Development team in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary. This is a 17-Month Fixed Term Contract. What your team does: The Learning and Development team equips all employees at Clio with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to transform the legal experience for all. Whether through onboarding, leadership development, AI enablement, or a variety of just‑in‑time learning opportunities, we seek to make an impact via effective, creative, and engaging learning experiences. Who you are: As the Program Manager, Global Onboarding, you are the architect of the first 90 days for every new Clion. You will lead the strategy and execution of a world‑class onboarding experience that is truly global by design. This is not just about logistics; it’s about belonging, culture, and performance. In this role, you will balance the need for a unified global narrative with the strategic necessity of localisation. You will bring together onboarding stakeholders from across the business to drive alignment and continuously iterate our programs to drive engagement and shorten time‑to‑productivity. You’ll be the “go‑to” expert and welcoming face for new hires, ensuring that every employee, regardless of their time zone or geography, feels integrated, empowered, and ready to drive impact. What you’ll work on: Lead and evolve Clio’s global onboarding program, creating a world‑class onboarding experience for all new hires that drives belonging, engagement, and decreases time‑to‑productivity. Collaborate deeply with Learning Experience Designers to create engaging, cutting‑edge learning experiences for all new hires. Evolve our onboarding program to meet the needs of our diverse global workforce, making design decisions around time zone coverage and balancing global standards with strategic localisation. Facilitate our flagship Culture Camp programme in collaboration with other L&D members and maintain a high facilitation bar; identify, train, and guide further facilitators as needed. Partner with functional leads to bridge the gap between “General Onboarding” and “Functional Onboarding”, focusing on decreasing ramp time for new hires across all functions. Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, developing a deep understanding of processes across Talent Acquisition, IT, Benefits, Payroll, and Workplace Experience to provide a seamless, friction‑free entry into the company. Keep a strong pulse on the business to ensure new hires receive the most relevant, up‑to‑date context required for success. Monitor and report on onboarding effectiveness, using insights to make real‑time adjustments and present data‑informed recommendations to leadership. Act as a cultural ambassador for Clio, embodying our values in all interactions with new hires and ensuring the mission and values are woven into every touchpoint of the new hire journey. Collaborate with the broader L&D team on signature programmes (e.g., manager onboarding), stay abreast of industry trends and act as a thought partner, providing insights and strategic guidance on L&D initiatives. Other duties as required. What you may have: Experience working in learning & development, revenue enablement, customer onboarding, or another type of onboarding role. Dynamic facilitation skills and a strong “front‑of‑room” presence—whether in‑person or on Zoom—you can captivate audiences of any size, distill complex info into engaging narratives, and hold the energy of a room (virtual or otherwise) from start to finish. Solid project management skills; you’re able to stay on top of many moving pieces and keep your stakeholders closely informed. Sophisticated understanding of adult learning best practices and methodologies. Resourceful problem‑solving skills and a “find‑a‑way” attitude with the ability to navigate complex internal processes to help new hires. A strong ability to balance high‑level program design with the “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” execution required in a fast‑paced environment. A proven track record of building trust with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive shared business goals. Strong communication skills with a genuine passion for the employee experience and the ability to inspire new hires from day one. Serious bonus points if you have: Proven track record of architecting onboarding programmes for a distributed global workforce, with a deep understanding of how to bridge time‑zone gaps and navigate cultural nuances and language barriers without losing the core company identity. Experience using LearnUpon or another Learning Management System (LMS). Experience using Asana or a similar project management tool. Experience facilitating in Zoom. This role is a backfill for an existing position. Compensation and benefits Compensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program. The expected salary range for this role is $92,900 to $109,300 to $125,700 CAD. The salary bands reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and allow room for growth at Clio. Competitive, equitable salary with top‑tier health, dental, and vision insurance Hybrid work environment, with expectation for local Clions (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, and Sydney) to be in office at least twice per week Flexible time‑off policy, with an encouraged 20 days off per year $2,000 annual counseling benefit RRSP matching and RESP contribution Clioversary recognition program with special acknowledgement at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equity (DIBE) & Accessibility Our team shows up as their authentic selves and is united by our mission.
