Job Description Responsibilities Monitor, inspect, and maintain central heating and refrigeration equipment. Take accurate readings and keep them up to date in compliance with pressure equipment regulations. Monitor critical points and the Building Management System (Client), ensure required communication, and respond quickly in the event of an alarm. Perform chemical treatments according to the established program and adjust parameters based on network conditions.

Participate in annual building inspections and equipment evaluations. Monitor the performance of thermal plant equipment in accordance with the energy management protocol. Apply operating procedures, industry best practices, and directives issued by the supervisor. Provide feedback on work management through the computerized maintenance system.

Plan supply and equipment needs, manage inventories, and submit purchase orders for approval. Assist in coordinating and supervising the work of subcontractors and suppliers. Propose and implement minor improvements within their field of expertise. Participate in emergency interventions in accordance with the Emergency Measures Manual.

Comply with applicable codes, laws, standardized procedures, and LEED requirements for existing buildings. Provide technical advice and expertise to colleagues. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Desired Profile Class 4B stationary engineer certificate (Class A is an asset), in accordance with Québec’s Pressure Equipment Act.

Knowledge of building systems and basic maintenance principles. Physical ability to perform a variety of tasks (working at heights, in confined spaces, handling heavy objects). Intermediate to advanced knowledge of chemical treatment of hydraulic systems. Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and analytical equipment.

Availability for on-call work. Knowledge of computerized building control systems (Client); experience with Metasys is an asset. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying up to date on health and safety practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
