Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.We currently have an opening for a Front End Operator at our manufacturing facility located in the Foothills Industrial Park in South East Calgary. This facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry. This position will perform a variety of mechanical adjustments, maintenance, repairs, installation, and modification of manufacturing equipment for the production and manufacture of aluminum cans of the highest quality. Other responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following:Safety & Quality minded with willingness for excellence required in all aspects of the jobResponsible for the operation of one or more automated machines or equipment for the production of aluminum cansMust keep lines flowing, make continuous quality checks, & minor adjustments to conveyor belts and various factory equipmentAccurate and continuous quality checks and recordkeeping requiredUnderstand and follow verbal instructions for completion of assigned tasksKeeps Production Supervisors/Managers informed of operational status of equipment and production issuesFollows standard operating proceduresMust be able to work effectively in a team environmentPerforms other related duties as requiredKeeps work area safe, clean, and organizedJob Requirements:3+ years of production experience as well as knowledge of production equipment and mechanical operations in a manufacturing environmentValid forklift licenseAble to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same timeEffective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal)Knowledge and work history of focusing on quality and safety in every aspect of the jobMechanically inclinedUnderstanding of line continuityMust be able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, rotating day and night shift on a 4 on – 4 off scheduleMust have impeccable time and attendanceMust have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlMust have attention to detailCrown is an equal opportunity employer.
