Position Information The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist 1 takes quality diagnostic images using x‑ray technology, assists radiologists/physicians, and works cooperatively with other members of the health care team to perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Temporary position until November 18th, 2026 approximately Rotation/Shifts Days and evenings, including weekends, 8‑hour shifts. Basic Requirements Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario Eligible for Certification in CPR Ability to operate relevant equipment and software for imaging, non‑imaging, and patient care applications Ability to perform Diagnostic Imaging procedures to professional standards Ability to assist in invasive procedures Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy Good written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills Ability to multi‑task Good problem‑solving skills Eligible to work in Canada Preferred Qualifications Experience in a hospital environment performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level) What You Can Expect From Us The Ottawa Hospital is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment for everyone.
