The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. We seek candidates with a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field, who also hold a baccalaureate degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline, and who have a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Applicants must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario. Research & Teaching Focus We welcome applicants whose expertise complements and enhances departmental strengths in areas such as: Thermal hydraulics Molten salt chemistry, thermodynamics, and processing Nuclear chemistry AI-assisted modeling and simulation of nuclear energy systems Nuclear safety and waste management Hybrid nuclear-renewable systems The successful candidate will: Have an established international reputation in nuclear engineering. Sustain and lead innovative, independent research advancing global frontiers of knowledge. Maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. Teach in the chemical engineering undergraduate and graduate curricula. Contribute to collaborative, interdisciplinary research and collegial engagement. Qualifications Evidence of research excellence may include: A record of sustained high-impact publications in top-ranked journals. Strong endorsements from referees of high standing. Presentations at major conferences. Awards, accolades, and other indicators of international prominence. Evidence of teaching excellence may include: Teaching accomplishments and innovations. A teaching dossier (statement of teaching philosophy, sample course materials, teaching evaluations). Strong letters of reference. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
