The Childcare Provider is responsible for providing a safe, relaxed, and stimulating environment for children attending childcare. WHY WORKING WITH US IS DIFFERENT We hate red tape as much as you do; if you’re tired of the top‑down management style, come stretch your decision-making skills You’ll have a voice; staff led innovations are at the core of our work We stretch for our staff as much as for our clients; we squeeze out every bit of benefit we can for our staff, and have fun doing it Staff who choose to work in community are passionate; you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who like their job and want to be here It's never boring; apply for a challenge & variety in your work THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE Hourly rate of $20.00 Additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation time Optional participation Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) A Psychologically Safe and Inclusive Workplace RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that each parent receives an orientation of the childcare area and that necessary forms are filled out Supervise the participants in the program at all times; children must never be left unattended Ensure that children’s physical and emotional needs are met and that the children are participating in a caring and welcoming environment Ensure the materials and room are arranged before children arrive and left clean and in good order after each gathering, and that health and safety standards are met by making sure the facilities, equipment and toys are clean and risk free Keep accurate daily attendance records and report any problems or concerns to the Program Leader as they arise REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with toddlers and children International experience in childcare an asset Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti‑oppressive lens French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve ABOUT US For more than 35 years, we’ve provided health & social services to those who experience barriers to care such as poverty, homelessness, language or culture, and complex and/or chronic health conditions.
