What to expect As a Certification Services Representative, you are responsible for providing and maintaining certification services for new and existing clients and promoting other CWB related service lines. This includes: Auditing companies – validating welding activities (verification of personnel and welding credentials), ensuring compliance to applicable codes and standards (e.g., CSA W47.1, CSA W186, CSA 47.2, etc.), verification of procedure type documents; provide relevant opportunities for improvement (OFI). Procedure testing – Conduct testing for non‑prequalified joint assembly as per the requirements of CSA W59. Welder testing – Conduct individual performance testing as per the requirements of CSA W47.1 and CSA W47.2. Public safety activities – visiting job sites, liaising with building inspectors, engineers, and current and prospective clients. In this position, you will report to the Regional Manager, Western Certification and will be working remotely from your home office in Vancouver Island, BC. CWB is adopting a remote‑first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. What you bring to the table Minimum 5–10 years hands‑on experience in the Welding Fabrication and Inspection industry, or as a Welding Educator Technical background and knowledge of the Welding and Joining industry Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Ability to work with indirect supervision Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience using web‑based platforms such as Microsoft Teams A valid driver’s license and own vehicle Must be able to travel within assigned territory and have appropriate travel documents (e.g., passport) Preferred Qualifications CSA 178.2 Level 1 or 2 Inspectors Qualifications or industry equivalent (e.g., API/CWI/TWI Inspectors) CWB Welding Supervisor Qualification or prior Supervisory/Managerial experience Experience in theoretical and/or practical welder training Prior experience working in a QA/QC environment Prior experience auditing existing Quality Management Systems Prior experience with DNV, Lloyds and ABS What’s in it for you Competitive salary structure Comprehensive medical benefits for you and your dependents RRSP and pension program Structured career development: education and training opportunities to help you reach your goals Accommodation The CWB Group is committed to providing accommodation to job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
