Job Overview Under the direction of the Assistant Vice‑President of Operations, you will carry out all regular functions of a Building Manager (maintenance, cleaning, administration) while providing mobile support across other Homestead properties. The schedule is 8 am‑5 pm with an on‑call rotation; off days are every other Saturday/Sunday and Thursday/Friday. Role & Responsibilities Ensure cleanliness of common areas and corridors. Prepare apartments for new residents. Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing and electrical. Address tenant concerns promptly and maintain positive relations. Collect and record incoming rents and serve legal documents as needed. Respond to emergencies and maintain fire safety logs. Follow an on‑call schedule that may include overnight shifts. Maintain accurate stock control records. Other duties as assigned by Area/Property Manager. Skills & Qualifications Valid Ontario Driver’s License. Reliable vehicle. Excellent mobility and communication skills. Mechanical background and excellent cleaning skills. Organized, able to handle multiple projects and administratively organized. Patience and diplomacy with occupants. A satisfactory reference check, criminal records clearance, and proof of full vaccination against COVID‑19 are required for the position, though the company will provide any accommodation required by law.
