Position Summary As a key member of the Resort Leadership Team, theHuman Resources Managerplays a vital role in creating a culture that reflects our core values of excellence, integrity, and community. This role leads all aspects of the employee experience — from attracting top talent to fostering a supportive, high‑performing workplace where every team member feels valued and inspired to deliver exceptional guest experiences Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Lead full-cycle recruitment for all resort departments, ensuring a strong fit with our service culture. Build relationships with local schools, tourism programs, and community partners to attract seasonal and year‑round talent. Coordinate onboarding and orientation to ensure new team members are welcomed, trained, and set up for success. Culture, Engagement & Recognition – Champion a people‑first culture that supports collaboration, accountability, and pride in service. Design and implement engagement programs, recognition events, and seasonal celebrations that strengthen team connection. Act as a trusted advisor and resource for leaders and employees, providing support in conflict resolution and workplace communication. Training & Development – Partner with department heads to identify learning needs and deliver relevant training initiatives. Support leadership development programs that grow internal talent and prepare future leaders. Foster a culture of continuous learning and feedback. HR Compliance & Policy Leadership – Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of BC Employment Standards, WorkSafeBC, and Human Rights legislation. Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to reflect best practices and resort values. Support occupational health and safety initiatives and joint health & safety committees. Performance, Compensation & Benefits – Guide managers through performance review and coaching processes. Assist in developing compensation strategies that attract and retain high‑performing team members. Administer benefits, payroll coordination, and employee wellness programs. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3–4 years of progressive HR experience; hospitality or resort experience preferred.CPHR designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset.Strong understanding of BC labour laws, employment standards, Foreign Worker programs and workplace compliance.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.Proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
