Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.What You'll Be Doing:Coordinate and support product development and assortment activities of the Category Team that align to category strategy, contribute to driving traffic, sales and margin, and adhere to safety, quality and regulatory standardsExecute purchase activities and opportunities in accordance with approved product plans and strategySupport effective communications to all support teams relating to product and provide stores with relevant information needed to assist with purchasing decisions and quantificationSupport completion and production of sku and assortment related information per timelines and activities detailed in the Buying or Planogram Calendar to minimize disruptionsSupport strategic marketing activities for all commodities to ensure marketing objectives are accurately metCommodities in this category: Beauty (cosmetics, skincare, suncare, fragrances, haircare and men's).What You'll Bring:Business, Management, or equivalent experience1-3 years related experience (Grocery retail an asset)Ability to problem solve and make adjustment on simple issuesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsUnderstanding of retail mathematics related to sales, profitability/ inventoryGreat communicator, verbally and in writingTime management, organization and prioritization skills requiredLove for product and passion for the Giant Tiger CustomerStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of productsAssets You May Have:Bilingual English and FrenchFinancial acumen#LI-HYBRIDJoin Giant Tiger and gain meaningful work experience in a fun, community-focused environment.
