Overview LEADER St. Clement's School is currently looking for a Grade 1-8 Curriculum Leader to join our School on a full-time basis commencing on August 25, 2026. This full-time position may include a teaching load of up to 0.25 FTE. Reporting to the Heads of Junior and Middle School, and working collaboratively with the Vice Principal, the Grade 1-8 Curriculum Leader supports the leadership of the Junior School and Middle School while upholding the School mission, policies, and strategic plan. The Grade 1-8 Curriculum Leader is responsible for providing day-to-day guidance to Junior School Core teachers and liaising with other Curriculum Department Leaders to create a collaborative and supportive environment. The Grade 1-8 Curriculum Leader demonstrates the ability to manage and motivate teachers, supports problem resolution and decision making, and supports teachers through performance, growth, and professional development goals and needs. Key Responsibilities Be an active member of the School's Curriculum Leadership Team; As a member of the Curriculum Leadership Team, contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of a cohesive, school-wide approach to curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogy; Support improvement of instruction in the School through the structures created for teachers to learn together and from one another; Serve as a liaison between teachers and school leadership so that School-level decisions are informed by ongoing, two-way communication between teachers and school leaders; Organize and participate in trips and activities which fall before and after school hours and on weekends, including but not limited to: Admissions Events, Grade Trips, Curriculum Evenings, Parent Information Sessions, and Overnight Trips; Lead divisional meetings and communicate expectations; Maintain consistent and open dialogue to encourage growth in curriculum development; Guide faculty performance, growth, and professional development; Create a collaborative culture of teachers who feel inspired and supported to continually learn and grow; Support and assist in the Admissions process and events; Cultivate a professional culture of shared ownership for student learning in the School; Participate in the process of hiring new staff, as needed; Organize and facilitate divisional activities and events; Engage and fully participate in the life of the School; and Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes of Our Ideal Candidate A post-secondary undergraduate degree, Honours preferred; Leadership qualifications such as a Master's degree or PQP an asset; B. Ed (P/J or J/I) and a Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the OCT; Minimum 5 years classroom teaching at two of Primary, Junior, and Intermediate levels; Strong background in literacy and numeracy, with additional qualifications in these areas an asset; Fluent in equity literacy with the ability to recognize, respond to, and redress conditions that are inequitable, and actively demonstrate commitment to anti-oppression education; Strong relationship building skills and an ability to lead and develop people, including strong initiative, teamwork, and instructional ability; Demonstrated ability to improve instructional practice, foster a collaborative team environment, and plan in close collaboration with colleagues; Ability to support faculty using a wide variety of teaching and assessment strategies; Experience with employee goal setting and planning in order to support the strategic direction of the school; Track record of building positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and students; Demonstrated exploration and support of interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning opportunities; Proven ability to integrate technology to enhance learning; Commitment to co-curricular activities, coaching, and full participation in school life; A record of encouraging, nurturing, and supporting students' love of learning; and Criminal record check is required as a condition of employment. Compensation Salary is based on our Faculty Salary Grid and varies by qualifications and years of experience. Salaries below are based on full-time equivalency of (1.0). Salaries are based on qualifications and experience. The range for individuals with less than seven years of qualifying teaching experience is $60,000 – $105,000, plus a $4000 stipend for this position. The range for individuals with more than seven years of teaching experience is $85,000 – $134,000, plus a $4000 stipend for this position. (Progression within the band is based on set qualifications and experience.) These amounts are based on our current year grid, which may increase for the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
