Engineer and Project Leader, Automation (Relocation to Sept-Îles)Join BBA Consultants as an Engineer and Project Leader, Automation in Sept-Îles. This role involves developing project and client relationships in the energy and mining sectors, working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire.As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will participate in engineering mandates related to automation, instrumentation, and control systems, contribute to various project phases, and assist in proposal preparations and technological solutions for clients.Sept-Îles offers a vibrant community life with outdoor activities, beaches, and a chance to work away from big cities while enjoying amenities of a city of over 25,000 inhabitants. You will be mentored by experienced engineers and benefit from BBA’s extensive network.Key Responsibilities:Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and deliverables (P&IDs, drawings, control schemes)Draft reports, specifications, and tender documentsSelect control instruments and prepare datasheetsProvide technical support during construction and inspectionsProgram PLCs, DCSs, and operator interfacesEngage with clients, support business development, and participate in proposalsCandidate Qualities & Values:Client-oriented, independent, detail-orientedCommitted, business-savvy, action-orientedDecisive, capable of developing others, adaptableQualifications:Bachelor’s in automation manufacturing or electrical engineeringMinimum four years’ relevant experienceExperience in designing control systems, programming (SCADA, PLC, DCS)Knowledge of Electrical Code, equipment start-up, and verificationProficiency in project management, technical writing, cost estimationMember of a Canadian engineering association; bilingual in English and French an assetBenefits & Compensation:Competitive salary, premium programs, and benefits starting day oneRetirement plans, insurance, vacation, and sick leaveEmployee referral bonuses and ongoing professional developmentJoin BBA to work in a collaborative, innovative, and supportive environment where your expertise makes a difference.
