Our unwavering dedication to excellence and industry best practices is bolstered by cutting-edge technological innovation, enhancing the experience for both our clients and our exceptional staff.* Develop an expert-level understanding of your client base and the industries you support as well as the firm’s practice areas and services provided.* Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.* Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies for non-immigrant and immigrant foreign national employees.* Draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents.* Conduct research to support client requests and projects.* Supervise the work of paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation.* Demonstrate a willingness to learn and effectively implement guidance and direction offered by supervisors and experienced colleagues.* Proactively communicate with clients, within SLAs/team protocols and with a precise, efficient, thoughtful, and organized response.* Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects.* Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.* Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols, ensuring accurate and complete data is entered.* Actively contribute to team meetings and firmwide activities.* Act as a source of advice and training to more junior colleagues, proactively sharing immigration knowledge and expertise.* Ensure self and team follow documented firm standards and policy to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational and client compliance.* Other duties as required.**Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:*** Canadian bar lawyer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience and knowledge of Canadian immigration law* Proven ability to build strong working relationships with clients and staff* Responsible for managing a broad caseload in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to identify issues, analyze facts and determine appropriate case strategy.* Effectively utilize on-line research tools and comfortable working with client management systems.* Displays professionalism, quality service and a “positive” can do attitude and contribute to the Firm's overall initiatives.We are working in a hybrid model of 2 days at the office and 3 days from home.Fragomen (Canada) Co. is committed to providing employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
