Our collaboration spans expertise in connectivity, AI, security, and more, aiming to create a more connected, intelligent, and sustainable future.Role SummaryThe Infotainment team is at the forefront of reimagining mobility, responsible for creating an ecosystem that delivers a beautiful and intuitive in-vehicle experience to Rivian drivers and passengers.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy embedded platforms for the Infotainment system (displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, Bluetooth, etc.)Conduct software design and code reviews, and assist team members with technical issues and design decisionsAnalyze requirements, and oversee architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment throughout the software lifecycleCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Connected Car, Self-Driving, and PowertrainQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred8+ years of experience in developing embedded system software from requirements to maintenanceProficiency in modern C and/or C++ programmingExperience with POSIX-based embedded systems; Linux and Android preferredDeep knowledge in areas such as displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, BluetoothOptional: scripting languages like PERL or Python, low-level interfaces such as I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, USB, PCIe, SDIO, UFS, MDIOAdditional InformationSalary Range (British Columbia): $137,300 CAD - $171,600 CAD, based on experience and other factors.Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, with premiums covered by Rivian from day one.Equal Opportunity & AccessibilityWe are committed to diversity and inclusion, and provide accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
