The Opportunity Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, the Manager leads a team of Quality Assurance Specialists who are responsible for the post‑funding review of underwriting quality. The manager is responsible for guiding and motivating the team to meet targets and schedules while maintaining quality results. How You Will Contribute Ensure QA reviews are conducted in a timely, efficient, and objective manner. Schedule reviews and allocate appropriate resources to meet targets. Perform “QA of QA” reviews and provide prompt feedback to team members. Review findings identified by the team to ensure accuracy and keep senior management informed of any trends identified. Complete management reporting as required. Assist with reviewing and responding to external audits. Stay up to date with policy, product, investor, and insurer requirements. Manage the capacity of the team through efficient delegation of work and monitoring of productivity reports. Motivate team members to meet performance targets through ongoing feedback and coaching. Establish performance and work standards. Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees as required. Provide coaching, training, support, and development to team members. Lead team meetings. Conduct annual performance reviews. Adhere to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met when applicable. Language Requirements This position requires linguistic fluency. Priority will be given to candidates completely fluent in English and French. The Experience You Need Post‑secondary education required. People‑management skills—coaching, feedback, and development of individuals and teams. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships. Ability to manage and resolve conflict. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills. Organizational and time‑management skills. Positive team player with desire and ability to mentor others. Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Must have experience/knowledge of residential underwriting practices. Fully competent in working with basic PC software and possessing a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Ability to manage pressure in an environment of high‑volume processing with tight turnaround times. Bilingualism (French, English) required; interactions with English‑speaking customers or partners. Working Environment And Physical Demands Office environment. Periods of high volume with tight timelines. Long periods of stationary position/sitting. Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (e.g., using a keyboard and mouse). Long periods of time in front of a computer screen.
