Overview Location: Alma Contract Type: Refurbishment of an Operating Power Plant Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Site Supervisor to oversee the refurbishment of operating hydroelectric power plants. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in managing construction and rehabilitation projects for hydroelectric infrastructure, as well as in-depth knowledge of safety standards and applicable regulations. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the construction site. Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Ensure worker safety and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Prepare progress reports and maintain up-to-date site documentation. Participate in site meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Manage material and human resources on the construction site. Ensure adherence to deadlines and allocated budgets. Qualifications Degree in civil engineering or a related field. Between 5 and 10 years of experience in site supervision, preferably in the hydroelectric sector. In-depth knowledge of construction standards and safety regulations. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to work under pressure and proactively solve problems. Proficiency in computer tools and site management software. Additional skills: Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an asset. Knowledge of hydroelectric infrastructure rehabilitation techniques. Experience with quality and safety management systems. Work Environment Urban environment, requiring adaptation to specific city constraints. Frequent interaction with local authorities and residents. Managing challenges related to urban logistics, such as traffic and noise restrictions. Compliance with municipal regulations and environmental standards. Professional Qualifications Recognized professional qualification outside the school or university system: certificates, permits, courses, membership in a professional order or association, etc. Languages French spoken and written - High level Experience 5 to 10 years EEO/Accessibility Experienced Workers.
