Field Service Technicians are set up for success with the best tools and are constantly training & improving their skills in order to provide outstanding service to their customers. They are now hiring an experienced Field Service Technician with food manufacturing & food packaging experience to install new and repair existing equipment, and provide routine maintenance and service. This position involves travelling to our client’s facilities and must be willing to travel 50% and live near an airport, preferably in the Toronto to Hamilton region. Our client is known for its high-quality equipment, innovative engineering, and exceptional service and support. They are dedicated to providing superior service for their customers.. As a customer-focused technical expert, the Field Service Technician will address customer issues by troubleshooting and repairing equipment, continually learning, and adding value while building and improving client relationships.You will be trained extensively when commencing this job and set up for success with everything you need to provide outstanding service to our customers.ResponsibilitiesAddress customer needs and service their equipment.Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to determine best practices.Troubleshoot to identify and isolate problems.Assist customers with finding part numbers and obtaining quotes.Resolve issues and restore equipment to optimal working conditions.Document and submit reports and expenses regularly.Support the sales team and keep them informed.Track, document, and return parts used on job sites.Participate in projects to improve equipment safety and performance.RequirementsMust have field service experience in maintenance/service, including troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical machinery.Previous experience building relationships and trust with customers is a must.Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance meets specifications.Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.Strong communication skills and ability to track job orders on computer.Experience repairing or maintaining food processing, or automation machinery is highly desirable.Industrial Electrical ticket an asset.Must be able to travel to USA and hold a valid passport.Enjoy and thrive when working in a team environmentCompensation & Benefits$90,000-$110,000/yearComprehensive medical and dental benefits package, monthly car allowance plus $0.24 per km, annual bonus, 3 weeks paid vacation, free parking and sick days.Training for the first 2 months based in Toronto.Annual company training trip.Thank you for your application.
