OverviewCarpenter Apprentice (3rd/4th Year) - Edmonton, ABEmployment Type: Temporary FT (CAN)Position: Carpenter Apprentice (3rd/4th Year) - Edmonton, ABProject Type: BuildingsProject Location: Edmonton, ABShift: Day or NightSchedule: Monday to Friday - OT as per site needsAccommodations: Local OnlyTravel Details: Not AvailableGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 29523We are currently recruiting for a Carpenter Apprentice (3rd/4th Year) to join the Buildings group at one of the various projects in Edmonton, AB.Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.ResponsibilitiesBe able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layoutsUnderstand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structuresComplete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skillsCheck completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and locationBuilding of hoarding and other temporary structuresErects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levelLook for, and fix deficienciesChecks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as requiredStudies blueprints for work planningInforms immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measuresPerform other related duties as assignedGeneral site upkeepMinimum RequirementsPreference will be given to a Registered Carpenter ApprenticeNon-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry tradeCertifications: CSTS & WHMISAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamDescribe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issuesMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaCOME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTYWith a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada.
