Our expertise is recognized for both development and rehabilitation projects, and we collaborate to meet and exceed the highest industry standards through innovation.What you can expect to do herePerform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations.Develop one‑line diagrams, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, general arrangements, elevation views, grounding design, lightning design and calculations, and design criteria documents.Write substation equipment specifications, develop proposals, estimate construction costs, and schedule projects.Occasional travel will be required.What you’ll bring to WSPBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.Professional license (P.Eng) or equivalent, or ability to obtain within 6 months.Ten (10) or more years of utility substation design experience, including 15 kV to 240 kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards.Proven experience developing detailed physical substation design packages from written design basis memoranda (DBM) or scope of work (SOW) with minimal oversight and cross‑coordination with civil, P&C, and studies engineers.Experience managing projects and leading multi‑disciplinary teams is an asset.Cost estimating and scheduling experience is desired.About WSPWSP is a global professional services firm dedicated to future‑proofing cities and environments.
