Objective


The General Manager will guide the Administration, Operations, and Brokerage Managers and support the president and CEO with day-to-day operations in the Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Toronto locations. This person provides strategic leadership to each business unit by implementing and executing processes to meet and support organizational objectives and, ultimately, a profitable bottom line.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Oversee daily operations, creating and implementing new initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  2. Ensure business administrative activities align with company objectives and compliance.
  3. Mentor and coach managers, addressing complaints and resolving issues.
  4. Promote a productive and positive environment for optimal team performance.
  5. Provide strategic support for operational, financial, and resource aspects of projects.
  6. Maintain good relationships and public relations with customers.
  7. Identify and execute projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  8. Stay updated on transportation industry trends and adapt offerings to meet market demands.

You will bring similar experience and proven leadership skills, ideally within the logistics industry. You will have strong business acumen and experience in business operations, including Administration, Human Resources, and Accounting. Proficient computer skills, including database and CRM experience such as Truckmate software or similar.
