Senior Medical Writer Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Senior Medical Writer will independently develop content for our varied medical education initiatives. He or she will have an extensive knowledge of the medical education environment and previous experience in creating varied projects, such as needs assessment, learning program content, advisory board meeting reports, proposal, etc. Collaborating under the direction of a project lead (project director, account manager and/or project manager), the project content is developed and referenced according to the project specifications and in partnership with our clients. We are seeking a resourceful and naturally curious Senior Medical Writer who excels in collaborative environments, interprets complex instructions with precision, welcomes constructive feedback, consistently meets tight deadlines, and is motivated to make a significant impact in the medical education field. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop medical and scientific content for a variety of projects with autonomy (e.g., needs assessment, learning programs, meeting reports, publications) according to client specifications without supervision Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and client objectives, working closely with the Director to translate requirements into clear, actionable deliverables Independently and efficiently consolidate information while ensuring medical accuracy and subject matter expertise required for the development of the scientific/medical content Independently plan and sequence project activities, and ensure timely progress through strong organizational leadership without relying on the Project Director or Medical Director Research medical and client material to ensure content accuracy and accurate referencing according to internal SOPs and client specifications Leverage deep knowledge of the medical education environment, including the IMC Code, national standards, and proven experience, to design and deliver a full range of initiatives, including needs assessments, learning program content, advisory board meeting reports, and proposals Interact with clients and faculty during virtual and in-person meetings to ensure expectations and specifications are met with respect to the design of projects Perform onsite support at client events; some travel across Canada and abroad may be required to fulfill the project responsibilities Provide ongoing collaboration with graphic artist and/or project team in the development of optimal visual support for program development (when applicable) Track and manage project financials by accurately logging hours in the project management system, ensuring alignment with planned budgets, and promptly alerting the team of any potential overruns Assist with client pitches for assigned clients and/or in a particular therapeutic field Collaborate with management to mentor junior medical writers, uphold best practices, and actively contribute to colleague training sessions Build and maintain lasting customer relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and demonstrate ongoing value to customers to contribute to the company's growth Participate in ongoing processes to improve and enhance departmental and organizational effectiveness Ensure quality control of all deliverables REQUIREMENTS AND APTITUDES Ph.
