The incumbent will work closely with software applications and research associates, as well as with other functions, to design and develop Mass Spectrometer software products and capabilities.This position reports to the Software Development Manager, Chief Software Architect, and is part of the Software Department located in Concord, Ontario, Canada and will be an on-site role.In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity ToResponsibilitiesAnalyze problems to deliver creative, logical, and effective solutions using good design principles that satisfy functional and non‑functional requirements.Design and develop critical platform infrastructure components using advanced concepts like threading/async programming.Develop high complexity modules/subsystems for controlling analytical instruments and data mining with intelligent algorithms.Evaluate and recommend new software development technologies, tools, and practices.Mentor senior team members, and peer review product artifacts including requirement specifications, design specifications, and code.Essential RequirementsDegree in Computer Science or Engineering.Long-standing experience (9+ years) in designing and developing applications using OOP/OOD.
