Full Job Description Association for New Canadians is a non‑profit, community‑based organization dedicated to the provision of settlement and integration services for immigrants and refugees. The Project Manager, Youth Mental Health will lead the development and delivery of a newcomer‑focused youth mental health project, with an emphasis on peer support, mental health literacy, and youth empowerment. The position builds and maintains strong internal and external referral networks to connect youth with appropriate mental health supports and will manage project data, reporting and continuous improvement to support effective outcomes and accountability. Job Title: Project Manager, Youth Mental HealthLocation: St. John’s, NLPosition Type: 1 full‑time position until March 31, 2027, with possibility of extension pending satisfactory performanceClosing date: Until filledReporting to the Associate Director of Community and School Engagement. Roles And Responsibilities Manage the development and implementation of a new youth mental health project, with a focus on newcomer‑specific mental health, peer support, and youth empowerment Provide internal oversight of project activities, ensuring project is designed and delivered in line with funder guidelines and organizational mandate Lead the development of newcomer youth mental health peer supporter curriculum Lead the development of newcomer youth mental health information sessions, to be delivered by Newcomer Peer Supporters Oversee the hiring of project staff including Mental Health Program Trainer and Youth Peer Supporters Develop a strong referral network within ANC and across the province to ensure youth are connected with available mental health supports Ensure all project materials, programming and outreach are aligned with project goals to enhance mental health literacy Oversee project data and create reports according to funding guidelines and internal requests Actively monitor and continuously improve program statistics and reporting Other duties as assigned Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in education, educational development, social work, counselling, or related field is required; master’s degree or above preferred Self‑directed and self‑motivated, with an ability to multi‑task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced environment Experience in developing and delivering youth‑focused mental health curriculum Experience leading and coaching teams in a service delivery environment Effective in data management and analysis, and strong narrative and statistical report writing Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (oral and written) Cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with a diverse client group Experience in working with refugees and immigrants is an asset (i.e. knowledge of pre‑migration trauma and other settlement‑related stressors) Ability to develop networks and maintain contacts within the broader community Excellent knowledge of MS365 Knowledge of the settlement process and issues facing immigrants and refugees during their integration process is an asset Ability to speak English and French preferred, other languages an asset Conditions Of Employment Legal authorization to work in Canada Flexible to work outside of core hours (Monday‑Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm) is required Evenings and weekends may be required Valid class 5 NL driver’s license and daily access to a personal vehicle is required Ability to travel is required Position is subject to a satisfactory Criminal Record Screening and Vulnerable Sector Check from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Valid First Aid Certificate is an asset How to Apply Please upload a cover letter and resume as one PDF or MS Word document to https://associationfornewcanadians.bamboohr.com/careers/258 Association for New Canadians is committed to the advancement of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
