This is a permanent on-site position working the Afternoon shift and supporting a two-shift operation. This successful candidate will be responsible forKey Roles and Responsibilities will include:Working with cross-functional Engineering and Maintenance teams to increase efficiency, production quality, and outputFollowing and complying with safety and environmental proceduresCompleting assigned Preventive Maintenance as per scheduled requirementsProblem-solving skills and initiative to keep machine down-time to a minimumWorking with priorities set by the supervisor, often with minimal supervisionCorrecting and/or reporting unsafe work conditions as appropriateMaintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and ensure required inspections are completed correctly and on timeMachinery installation, assembly, maintenance, service, repair, and overhaulExcellent working knowledge of blueprints, drawings, and specifications manualsFabricating machine parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-upStart-up and testing, shut down operations, renovating and restoring, rigging and handlingTroubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment and application of resolutionStainless steel welding, Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)Application of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) techniquesWorking with conveyors, shop compressors, pumps, hoists, and other lifting devicesOperate grinders, welding equipment, gas and air dryers, heat exchangers, automated and robotics systems, electrical and electronic controls, lathes and other machining tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems as requiredWorking with power transmission systems, press brakes, and metalworking equipmentDetection of irregularities and malfunctions, constructing foundations for machineryInstalling and adjusting machinery and equipment safelyContinuously learning and adapting to changing and new equipment maintenance skills as requiredProviding training and mentoring to apprentices & others as requiredQualifications and ExperienceTrade Certification: A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) is requiredAt least 3 years related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotiveStrong mechanical and assembly skills, with the ability to troubleshootHands-on instrumentation troubleshooting an assetExperience with hydraulic systems is a definite assetKnowledge of basic electrical theory an assetBasic software knowledge requiredAbility to understand and communicate in English (Verbal/Written)Good interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills requiredAdditional informationWorking straight afternoon hour shifts, with the requirement for mandated weekend work in support of production needs, as requiredSafety Shoes - receive a stipend for 2 pairs of safety shoes per yearTool Allowance - received a Skilled Trades annual tool allowanceOT and Double Time OptionsExcellent benefits that include health, vision, dental and prescription drug programsRRSPEmployee and Family Assistance PlanVehicle purchase and lease discountsCpK Interior Products Inc. is proud to extend to its employees a compensation and benefits package that is competitive within the industry, including market-based salaries and paid vacation.
