***Thanks in advance, but please don't apply to this position if you do not have either your PR or a valid work permit*** Senior Outerwear Designer Our client, a leading importer of branded apparel for men, women and kids, is looking for a Senior Outerwear Designer to join their team Responsibilities Presenting seasonal lines developed, providing relevant insight consistent with market trends for their outerwear division. Support merchandiser in specific design development projects. Trend research (keep up to date with emerging and current trends). Work in collaboration with buyers and sales team on trends and customer needs. Create design and technical sketches (CADS). Create, develop, and edit detailed technical packages, including detailed technical sketches in Adobe Illustrator and Technical BOMs (bill of materials). Creating and overseeing design to ensure quick flow through and strong adherence to the production calendar. Work closely with the fit and spec / technical team to ensure the styling and quality from development stage of each product to final production. Approve production sample. Qualifications Ten (10) years of experience in a similar role. College-level degree in Fashion Design or related experience. Relevant experience in contemporary fashions is a strong asset. Strong knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficient in basic Microsoft Office software. Excellent fashion sense and ability to translate trends. Proven experience in garment construction and design. Proven knowledge of the production cycle. Proven ability to collaborate with all functions and all levels. Ability to adapt to changing environments and be flexible. Strong attention to detail. Results oriented. A strong team player with the ability to influence others. #J-18808-Ljbffr
